The FlexLiving – landlord nightmare, anyone else have experience?

I have been renting to The FlexLiving for 3 years, but the lease it coming to expiry and they’re refusing to leave! Are there any other landlords here who have experience with them?

I’ve been renting my property to them for the past three years, and with the lease now coming up to expiry, I expected the process of getting the property back to be relatively straightforward. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. They are refusing to leave despite the tenancy agreement approaching its end, and I’m now in a difficult position trying to work out what to do next.

As a landlord, you enter into an agreement expecting both parties to honour the terms of the contract. I’ve upheld my side of the arrangement for the past three years, so it’s extremely frustrating to find myself having to chase for a resolution when all I want is to regain possession of my own property at the appropriate time.

What concerns me most is the lack of clarity around the situation and how long this could potentially drag on for. There are financial implications, future plans for the property to consider, and the added stress of not knowing when or whether the matter will be resolved.

I’d really like to hear from other landlords who have dealt with The FlexLiving.

  • Has anyone else experienced difficulties getting their property back when the lease expired?
  • How did the company respond when you formally requested possession?
  • Were you able to resolve the matter through direct communication, or did you have to seek legal advice?
  • How long did it take to reach a resolution?
  • Is there anything you wish you had known before entering into an agreement with them?

I’m not looking to jump to conclusions, but I do think it’s important for landlords to share their experiences and learn from one another. If other property owners have encountered similar circumstances, hearing how you handled things would be genuinely helpful.

If you’ve dealt with this company, either positively or negatively, please share your experience in the comments. I’d particularly appreciate practical advice from anyone who has successfully navigated a similar situation.

At this stage, I’m simply looking for constructive advice and to understand whether this is an isolated issue or something other landlords have also encountered.
